We do not store your IP address in readable form. We store two values derived from it. One is a hashed form of the address. The other is a pseudonymous visitor identifier, created by hashing the address with a secret key, which is what lets us tell one visitor from another without knowing who you are. Both are pseudonymous rather than anonymous, because the same visitor produces the same value each time.

Information Saved in Your Browser

The discovery questionnaire at /discovery saves your answers in your browser as you type, so you can leave and come back without starting over. That draft holds anything you have entered: your name, business name, industry, headcount, the categories you selected, your email address, your phone number, and the free text you wrote about what is going wrong.

This draft stays in your browser. It is not sent to us while you are filling the form in, and we cannot see it. It is cleared automatically when you submit. If you leave without submitting, it stays in your browser until you clear it, and whenever a saved draft is restored the form offers a start fresh link that discards it.

We also set a flag in the site owner's own browser so that our own visits are left out of our analytics. It holds no personal information.

• Cloudflare: Serves this site, checks form submissions for automated abuse, and supplies the approximate location described above. It receives your IP address and browser signals.
• Resend: Delivers our email. When you submit a form, Resend receives your name, email address, company, phone number and message in order to send the notification to us and the confirmation to you.
• Railway: Hosts the site and its database, so your information passes through and is stored on their infrastructure.
• Our newsletter provider: If you subscribe. The newsletter runs on a separate service linked from our footer, and what you submit there is handled by that service under its own terms.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• Protection: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We delete or scrub what we hold on a fixed schedule, and it runs automatically rather than on request.

• Page view records are deleted after 90 days
• Email delivery logs are deleted after 30 days
• Security records, such as failed sign-in attempts, are deleted after 365 days
• Form submissions have their personal details scrubbed after 730 days. The record itself is kept without those details, so we can still count how many inquiries we received.

Drafts saved in your browser are not on this schedule, because they sit in your browser rather than on our servers. You can clear them yourself at any time.
